To start we will be using PLA and PVA
PVA is a water-soluble material that can be used for supports so we do not need to break off plastic welded parts. PVA takes 12-18 hours to dissolve.
The Ultimaker 5 can print in 2 material during a print job. It is common to print with a base material such as PLA and a support material such as PVA, this allows for supports to be easily removed with out effecting the supported face. Other materials can be printed together such as multiple colors of the same material or stiff and bendable materials.
Types of heads:
AA for most materials ex:PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU
BB only for PVA
CC is for composite materials (currently not used in the lab)
To start off we are are going to make the:
2nd head=Natural PVA with a BB 0.4 head
1st head=Ultimaker Black PLA
